The LDN journey begins

Well after whats been a crappy couple of months pain wise I bit the EXPENSIVE bullet and made an appointment with a private pain specialist called Dr Declan O Keeffe. It was the best consult I have ever had. He listened, in fact he insisted I turn off the light when he realised I had a massive migraine. It felt so good to be listened to but I suppose thats the service you get when you go private and pay 200 quid to be seen which makes me sad. He dictated a letter to my GP while i was there and said how unhappy he was that my kidney stone op hadn't happened yet and that my migraine was so badly managed.  My GP is just no help at all so I was very glad to have someone fight my corner. So I have started on LDN - low dose naltrexone. "Naltrexone is a class of drug known as an opiate antagonist and is normally used in treating addiction to opiate drugs such as heroin or morphine.
